My name is Elizabeth, but if you know me you probably call me something else, and I enjoy life and much of what it has to offer: learning, laughing, sharing, creating and trying new things. Instead of telling you about me, I leave it to the two people responsable for creating me.

"Elizabeth has always been a free spirit and she embodies this moniker with the greatest zeal, she has a lust for life and all is has to offer. She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and has always been concerned for the greater good of the world. Elizabeth excelled in studies, even though she finds most traditional education tedious. A very incomplete list of things she has enjoyed learning to do include welding, blacksmithing, woodworking, wood burning, jewelry making, painting, carving, photography, travel, diving, sailing, rock climbing, spelunking and glass work (one of her biggest ambitions is to someday learn how to blow glass).

Elizabeth is one of those rare souls whom everyone falls in love with. She loves making lasting lasting connections with people and is lucky enough to have dozens of friends all over the globe. One of Elizabeth's strongest traits (and one of the things I admire most about her) is her ability to persevere. Even as a child she wouldn’t take no for an answer. Until the age of 9 or 10 Elizabeth worried about everything, then one day decided she didn’t want to worry any more. From that point on she has been unstoppable, filling her life with adventure and travel.

After graduating from University California Santa Barbara, Elizabeth was lucky enough to be able to work aboard the Tall Ship “Tole Mour” sailing, snorkeling, teaching and learning. Currently Elizabeth is teaching English in Spain and already thinking of her next grand adventure."

"Elizabeth is one of the most honest, free spirited and fun loving people I know.  She has always had those character traits and they have served her well.  If you know Elizabeth than you know she loves to travel, and has successfully done a fair bit of it for almost nothing.

Elizabeth loves to meet people and just listen to them. She sees past all the barriers that society puts up and just enjoys listening, she knows we all have a story worth telling and worth listening to. She was brought up that family is the most important thing and should always be a priority so instead of excluding friends or even just met acquaintances she just treats everybody like family.

Elizabeth is also a very hard worker whether it is academically or physically. She picks up odd jobs because she has such a desire to learn from them. Some of her work experiences included working on a Tall Ship and working in a bike shop as the grease monkey aka bike mechanic (and the only female bike mechanic in her shop). Elizabeth truly has a wonderful attitude in all she does.

Elizabeth also has a love for the arts. She herself is very artistic. She has a great eye for photography. She sculpts, paints, carves, face/body paints and uses any medium she can get her hands on. She once worked with a blacksmith so she can learn his trade. She has a desire to learn how to blow glass and I’m sure she will at some point. She does not fear power tools and loves to build. She has picked trash and turned it to treasure. What she does with her hands and her heart never ceases to amaze me.

With truest love and sincerity,

Anna Redd [Elizabeth's Mom]"
